THRIVE Receives Grant to Support Backpacks for Kids in Need
linton County THRIVE is proud to announce it has received a $2,000 grant to help provide backpacks filled with school supplies for children in need across Clinton County. The funding will directly support local students by ensuring they have the tools necessary for a confident and successful start to the school year.
Karen Schafer, President of Clinton County THRIVE, emphasized the importance of this initiative. “No child should have to start school feeling unprepared,” Schafer said. “This grant helps us remove that barrier and lets kids focus on learning, not what they’re missing.”
The backpack distribution will take place in partnership with Project Connect, a trusted community organization that works closely with local schools and families. Backpacks will be distributed through school districts and events throughout the county to ensure they reach the students who need them most.
“Working together with other organizations like Project Connect strengthens our efforts and broadens our reach,” said Schafer. “It’s a great example of what’s possible when we combine resources and relationships to support our community.”
Clinton County THRIVE continues to collaborate with schools, nonprofits, and local leaders to address pressing needs facing children and families. This grant-funded project is one of many ways the organization works to ensure all children in Clinton County have the opportunity to thrive.
